THE DESIGNER

Education & Studio
Sara Chyan is a Royal College of Art trained jewellery designer, curator and educator whose practice bridges the worlds of fine craft and high fashion. Since founding her London studio in 2018, she has developed a reputation for minimalist, emotionally resonant pieces that are as much at home on the couture runway as in the gallery.

Runway & Exhibitions
Her work has been presented on the official schedules of London, Paris, Copenhagen, Shanghai and New York Fashion Weeks and featured at New York, Shanghai, Romania, Estonia and Munich Jewellery Weeks. Since launching her brand she has appeared in over 190 exhibitions and pop-up activations worldwide.

Editorial acclaim spans British Vogue, Vogue Italia, Crafts, Aesthetica, Frow and Pap, and her accessories have been worn by Cara Delevingne, Halsey, Leigh-Anne, Nicki Minaj.

Funding & Honours

In 2022, Sara was one of only two British artisans sponsored by the Crafts Council to exhibit at Maison & Objet in France. In 2021, She was selected for UK Crafts Council’s Crafting Business programme In 2020, she received start-up funding from The Prince’s Trust (now The King’s Trust), which enabled the early development of her London studio. In 2019, Sara was selected for the InnovationRCA Creative Brand Accelerator, marking her as one of the Royal College of Art’s most promising entrepreneurial designers.

Mentorship & Curation
guest lecturer at the RCA and coach to start-ups through InnovationRCA, Sara also directs Blackdot Gallery, curating exhibitions that champion sustainability and emerging talent.

Judging & Collaborations
Through teaching, jury service and partnerships with designers such as Christiana Hadjipapa, Clara Pinto, Robert Wun,  r.l.e and Syzygy, she is widely respected as a discerning judge and advocate of cutting-edge design.

Sara Chyan Jewellery transforms metal into sculptural statements, marrying minimalist form with experimental materiality to create pieces that double as fine craft and high-fashion accessories. Each collection embodies personal narrative, inviting wearers to engage with jewellery as an extension of self-expression.

Drawing on a Hong Kong, Taiwan, London perspective, the label presents collections on international stages on the runway at London, Paris, Copenhagen, Shanghai and New York Fashion Weeks, and at New York, Shanghai, Romania, Estonia and Munich Jewellery Weeks, while also featuring in over 190 exhibitions and pop-up activations worldwide.

Retail activations at Dover Street Market Singapore, I.T Hong Kong and ISETAN The Japan Store have introduced the brand to discerning buyers, alongside seasonal showrooms and design fairs across Europe, Asia and North America.
